24-10-16 / Consortium Meeting in Athens

Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España (Spanish Co-ops) and the rest of members of the SCOoPE project consortium participate these days in the second meeting, aiming at sharing the information about the current situation of the first tasks carried out by the project.

In this stage of the project, the information about the processes that take place in the different industries, from the energy point of view, will be set. A fundamental part of the energy analysis will be to breakdown the processes, and to know the variables determining a greater or lesser energy consumption, especially in those critical points where more energy is consumed, and where more profitable will be the implemented improving measures.

Experts from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), Services Coop de France (SCDF), the Italian Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), and Spanish Co-ops, have developed a map of the processes involved in these industries (dairy, meat and poultry, crops drying and fruit and vegetables transformation). These maps are already available in the main page of this website.
